About Stella

Trained in mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), I spent over a decade building systems in the software industry, including five years leading teams at Apple iCloud. While my career in tech revolved around logic, structure, and precision, I always carried a quiet passion for creativity—a passion that ultimately led to a significant shift in my path.

During the pandemic, I returned to painting as a means of self-expression. Acrylics became my chosen medium, allowing me to explore a wide range of styles—from realism to textured forms, fluid expressions, and abstraction. My background in engineering continues to inform my work, providing a foundation of balance, structure, and intention, while my creative instincts drive the emotional and visual depth in each piece.

In my practice, I see no separation between the disciplines of engineering and art. Both involve problem-solving, but one speaks through technical design, while the other speaks through color, texture, and form. Each painting I create is an exploration of these two worlds—where logic meets emotion, structure meets freedom, and precision meets creativity.
